“The Upper Bucks YMCA sports programs have been a positive influence on my son and has taught him how to make fitness a part of his life. Our family has been very pleased with the sports programs at the YMCA and we plan to try a couple more!” ~ Kelly Jarrett

Youth Programs & Sports

Youth Programs

The Upper Bucks YMCA offers a variety of sports programs in which community youth can participate. These include basketball, t-ball, soccer and hockey. Upper Bucks YMCA youth sports programs are based on the concept that fair play is the very essence of competition.  Everybody should have an equal opportunity to compete. The YMCA also believes that its sports programs can help participants grow personally, clarify values, improve relationships, appreciate diversity, develop leadership skills and have fun. It is for the development of such virtues that the Upper Bucks YMCA promotes its sport programs for youth.

Registration for our sports leagues is open for everyone regardless of membership type. All league participants receive a t-shirt.

Volunteer Coaching

Volunteer coaching is a great way to get involved in the community. If there is a sport you love to play, consider becoming involved with coaching to help kids learn the sport you enjoy. Call 215-536-YMCA (9622) or email sports@ubymca.org for more information.

What to Bring and Wear

Children in classes and leagues such as soccer, hockey and t-ball should come prepared with the proper equipment.

Soccer and hockey players should have their own shin guards. Children who play hockey, indoor soccer or t-ball should wear sneakers. If playing outdoors, children may wear sneakers or non-metal cleats. T-ball players should bring a baseball glove.
